We Tried to Give Light of Our History so as to Inform You About Our Past

The Battle of the Somme began at 7:30 AM on July 1, 1916. At the end of the first day, 20,000 British soldier were dead and 40,000 injured. It was the worst day in British Army history. The French, whose numbers reduced by Verdun, had 1,590 casualties. After them 10.000 - 12.000 soldiers remained in the German army. These are horrific figures the battle didin't in spite of stop. It continued 140 days. Finally on November 18th, 1916, 1,000,000 men was killed.
